Four armed men entered a local shop recently and made off with what seems to almost be a grocery list of items.

Everyone is feeling the economic pinch, but four men have taken grocery shopping to the extreme.

The Krugersdorp Police and the West Rand District Trio Task Team are investigating the robbery at a shop on the corner of Fourth and Premier Streets in Krugersdorp.

According to a statement from the Krugersdorp Police’s spokesperson, Captain Raymond Sebonyane, the owner of the shop and his co-workers were in the shop at about 9am on 29 October, when four armed men came in. The men were dressed in Muslim attire and threatened everyone, including the customers.

They then tied everyone up and instructed them to lie down in the small kitchen.

The robbers fled with a grocery list of stolen items which included an undisclosed amount of money, three cellphones, cigarettes, body spray, Pampers nappies, washing powder, cooking oil and cool drinks.

The statement said that the men were driving two white Toyota Quantums, whose registration numbers are unknown.
