Saturday night crash on Robert Broom a head-on collision
Fortunately there were no fatalities.
Just before 8.30pm on Saturday, 29 February, night, Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on Robert Broom Drive in Rant-en-Dal.
Shawn Herbst’s, Netcare911’s media liaison, statement said reports from the scene indicate that two cars were involved in a collision.

“Medics assessed the scene and found that two patients had sustained serious injuries and another patient had sustained critical injuries. The critically injured patient, an adult male, was treated on scene by Advanced Life Support paramedics who managed to stabilise him,” his statement read.
“Due to the nature of his injuries, the Netcare 1 Specialised Helicopter ambulance was activated to airlift the man to a specialist facility.”
The two other patients were treated on scene and once stabilised were transported by ambulance to hospital for further treatment.
