Covid-19: Active cases in Mogale City now at 191
The total number of active Covid-19 cases in the West Rand is at 428 according to the latest report by the Gauteng Provincial Government.
The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Mogale City stood at 11 911 according to Gauteng Provincial Government’s latest breakdown. A total of 11 384 people have recovered so far. There has been 336 Covid-19 related deaths. This brings the total number of active cases in the area to 191.
Rand West City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 6 568 and 4 440 cases respectively. Rand West City and Merafong City have seen 6 241 and 4 215 recoveries respectively.
The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 22 926 with 656 deaths and 21 842 recoveries.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 19 678 and 19 051 recoveries.
The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 393 555 with 377 309 recoveries and 8 592 deaths.
