Covid-19: Number of active cases in Mogale City now at 199
The total number of active Covid-19 cases in the West Rand is at 422 according to the latest report by the Gauteng Provincial Government.

The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Mogale City stood at 11 996 according to Gauteng Provincial Government’s latest breakdown. A total of 11 457 people have recovered so far. There has been 340 Covid-19 related deaths. This brings the total number of active cases in the area to 199.
Rand West City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 6 612 and 4 488 cases respectively. Rand West City and Merafong City have seen 6 294 and 4 264 recoveries respectively.
The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 23 103 with 664 deaths and 22 017 recoveries.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 19 767 and 19 172 recoveries.
The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 395 838 with 380 335 recoveries and 8 867 deaths.
