Confirmed Covid-19 cases in Mogale City exceeds the 12 000 mark

The total number of active Covid-19 cases in the West Rand is at 503 according to the latest report by the Gauteng Provincial Government.

The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Mogale City stood at 12 064 according to Gauteng Provincial Government’s latest breakdown. A total of 11 480 people have recovered so far. There has been 345 Covid-19 related deaths. This brings the total number of active cases in the area to 239.

Rand West City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 6 659 and 4 533 cases respectively. Rand West City and Merafong City have seen 6 310 and 4 295 recoveries respectively.

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 23 263 with 673 deaths and 22 087 recoveries.

 

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 19 870 and 19 254 recoveries.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 398 005 with 381 849 recoveries and 9 144 deaths.
