Phase 1 of Black 888s job empowerment programme completed
The Black 888 organisation have started helping members of the community with training as a way to help them get jobs. The first students recently completed their training.
The Black 888 organisation proudly handed out certificates to the first group of students who completed training with their help.

The first group recently did computer training, and Palesa Bangane who received her certificate said she learned a lot during the training.
I was never into computers but this training will definitely help me. I also learned to work with people and how to communicate,” she said.
The organisation teamed up with a non-profit organisation from Westonaria called Simunye, and plans on doing training on a number of subjects. The next subject to be tackled will be Business Management.
Thabo Jama, the founder of Black 888 said he hoped by assisting these community members to receive training in different fields would help them find jobs.
