Municipality deck the Town Halls with boughs of jolly

Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM) employees headed outside recently to decorate the outside of the Town Hall building.

To bring a bit of holiday cheer to the Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM) and Town Hall, recently appointed Speaker of Council Jacqueline Pannall approached the different municipal departments for a fun Friday morning assignment to raise spirits and liven things up so close to the end of the year.

Municipal employees who could take a few minutes off from their usual work during the day headed outside with tinsel and ornaments, each choosing a tree on the Town Hall grounds to decorate.

As the new council has only recently been elected into office, and the municipality is still adjusting to the new leadership, this came as a very quick and somewhat modest initiative with those involved planning on doing something on a much larger scale by this time next year.
