Covid-19 and other comorbidities testing: Where and when to go in Mogale City

The West Rand District Health Department will continue with their ward-based battle plan this week.

Last week, January 16 to January 22, the teams screened 5 249 members of the community for Covid-19 at their pop-up stations around the West Rand, and no tests were needed. HIV tests were done on 3 387 people, and all were negative.

The teams screened 5 262 community members for tuberculosis, and two were referred for further management. They did 4 189 hypertension tests and 3 653 diabetes tests.

The teams also visited 92 households for bereavement support and enforcing compliance with Covid-19 non-pharmaceutical interventions.

• Kagiso Mall (January 23 to January 29)
• Kagiso Chamdor Shoprite (January 24 to January 28)
• President Hyper (January 23 and January 29)
• Lanseria Shopping Centre (January 27)
• Pango Camp (January 25)
• Rietvallei Ext 2 Park (January 26)
• Khashane informal settlement (January 29)
• Mayibuye (January 28)
• Laerskool Hekpoort (January 26)
• Lesego Primary (January 27)
• Swartzkop Valley Primary (January 27)
• Maloney’s Eye Primary (January 28)
