Drugs worth more than R15k seized in drug bust
Crack cocaine is becoming more and more common on the streets of Krugersdorp warns the Krugersdorp Flying Squad following another major bust.
The Krugersdorp Police’s Flying Squad continues to keep drugs off the streets following a recent drug bust.
According to Karen du Plessis, spokesperson for the Krugersdorp Police’s Flying Squad, the recent bust held between January 22 to 28 was a joint effort by the Flying Squad and the Flex Squad, which is responsible for keeping drugs and dealers off the streets.

“We seized about 37g of Crystal Meth valued at an estimated R11 037; 33 tablets of Mandrax worth an estimated R1 914; 14g of Crack Cocaine worth an estimated R1 792 and 71 ties of Nyaope worth an estimated R3 195,” she revealed.
“These busts took place in the greater Krugersdorp area including the CBD, Kagiso, Krugersdorp West as well as Randfontein. Our officers also noted that crack cocaine has become more common on the streets,” she concluded.
