An initiative by BCI security not only improves relationships but also allows recognising and showing appreciation to the dedicated men and women who risk their lives for the community.
According to the CEO of BCI Security, Johnny Loots, the initiative was initially started after a group called the Civilian Crime Intelligence Network’s (CCIN) sole purpose was uniting private and public law enforcement to work together and bring safety to the community more efficiently.
CCIN is a collaborative initiative that has been operational for 12 years, founded and mediated by Reza Patal.
The CCIN West Group is a vital component of a network, bringing together various stakeholders to combat crime effectively.
“Every month a law enforcement worker is given recognition for their efforts, the latest recipient is Gerda Lourens who showed effort in her relentless effort for justice,” Loots said.
He added she was ecstatic after receiving her award but still took the time to say that it is most important for her to make a difference.
”I’m always a giver, I don’t consider myself to like having the spotlight on me and I appreciate BCI and law enforcement for their recognition,” said Constable Gerda Lourens.
The objectives and strategies of CCIN West Rand are to share information and resources to combat crime successfully.
By working collaboratively, members can:
• Share intelligence on criminal activities
• Coordinate efforts to prevent and investigate crimes
• Enhance response times and effectiveness
• Foster a safer community through collective efforts
