Flying Squad swoops, four arrested in 48-hour crackdown
Police clamp down on crime as four suspects are arrested within two days for drugs, assault and property damage.
A series of targeted operations by the West Rand Flying Squad (WRFS) led to multiple arrests across the region over two days, as officers clamped down on drug possession and violent crime.
According to WRFS spokesperson Karen du Plessis, four suspects were apprehended between March 18 and 20 in separate incidents in Krugersdorp and Kagiso.
On March 18, officers made two drug-related arrests in Krugersdorp within minutes of each other. At about 10:30, a suspect was found in possession of three Mandrax tablets with an estimated street value of R198. Just 15 minutes later, a second suspect was arrested with two Mandrax tablets valued at R132.

In Kagiso, two more arrests followed during late-night operations on March 20. One suspect was taken into custody for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
In a separate incident that same night, another suspect was arrested for malicious damage to property after allegedly damaging a kitchen door and zinc roof, with losses estimated at R4 600.
Du Plessis said the arrests form part of ongoing efforts by the Flying Squad to curb crime and maintain visibility in hotspot areas.
