Vandalism leaves parts of town without power

Councillor Amy Steyn confirmed that a power outage has hit Wildtuinpark, parts of Krugersdorp West, Agavia and Heritage Manor due to vandalism at the Batavia Substation.

“The cause has been identified as vandalism to the main lines that provide power to the substation.

I was on site at about 06:15 where the underground lines are missing.”
