Rant-en-Dal gets ready for electricity meter upgrades

Rant-en-Dal begins its transition to smart electricity meters this May.

As part of the ongoing upgrade from traditional analogue electricity meters to modern smart meters, Mogale City Local Municipality’s (MCLM) Energy Services will be carrying out smart meter installations in Rant-en-Dal until May 23.

MCLM communications officer Refilwe Mahlangu explained that residents living on the following streets are requested to ensure that someone is at home during this period to allow technicians access to their properties:

• Gemsbok
• Duiker
• Steenbok
• Rietbok
• Zebra
• Renoster
• Eland
• Eekhoring

Specific installation dates for each street will be shared one to two days before the scheduled work,” she concluded.
