Relief point set up as burst pipe disrupts water supply in Krugersdorp North
A burst pipe has caused a water outage in parts of Krugersdorp North and residents can collect borehole water at Die Boomhuisie while repairs are underway.
Some streets in Krugersdorp North have been left without water following a burst pipe reported on the evening of July 8.
Ward councillor Amy Steyn confirmed that the outage affects streets from 7th to Begin Street and that repair efforts are ongoing.
“There is a challenge with the repairs, but hopefully the water will be restored by tonight [July 9],” she said.
In the meantime, residents in urgent need of water can collect borehole water from Die Boomhuisie. Steyn urged the public to bring their own containers.
