Latest Mogale reservoir levels show steady recovery after water maintenance

Reservoir levels across Mogale City continue to improve, with the Dan Pienaarville Reservoir and Kenmare Sump now at 100%, although residents are urged to continue using water sparingly.

Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM) says its water network is steadily recovering following recent infrastructure maintenance that left numerous areas without water.

Providing an update on the morning of July 23, MCLM assistant manager for media and PR Refilwe Mahlangu said the latest reservoir readings indicate continued improvement across the system.

“Despite high-lying areas still experiencing water supply challenges, recovery is on track. Overnight interventions were carried out, and the Kenmare Sump is now pumping normally. The Munsieville Reservoir is also receiving inflow and is gradually recovering,” she said.

  • Tudor Reservoir: 73%
  • Dan Pienaarville Reservoir: 100%
