Warm winter ahead for babies after Helpmates visit hospital

The moms of the post-natal ward at the Dr Yusuf Dadoo Hospital were treated to some warm winter goodies for them and their newborns.

The moms of the post-natal ward at Dr Yusuf Dadoo Hospital were recently spoiled with lots of goodies for themselves and their babies when the Helpmates team visited the hospital.

Puseletso Mabidikame from the hospital explained that as part of a poverty alleviation structure, Helpmates visited the hospital with tons of gift bags to offer the lucky mothers. These included some warm winter goodies for the children before they are discharged.

Pastor Nina Lediha from Kingdom Ministries explained to the attendees that they recently formed the Helpmates non-profit organisation which will be sharing memorable gifts in times of need. They will be visiting public hospitals and shelters around Gauteng and the hospital was their first visit.

Dr Pheto, the hospital’s CEO, thanked the organisation for coming up with such an important initiative.

“Dr Yusuf Dadoo wishes you well and thanks you for choosing this institution for your first adventure.”

R1 300 was allocated by the organisation to provide 32 mothers with fleece blankets during the visit.

“The fact that you managed to disclose the quantity and pricing and formally requested to submit the gifts adds more value and it means that the institution will comply in terms of the admin processes,” said Tsebo Litheko the Administration Manager.

Helpmates consists of a group of 32 women and have managed to raise more than R1 000 towards the blanket drive.

Pastor Lediha also thanked Josephine Senoamadi, the operational manager for the post-natal ward. for being part of the organising team.
