The soft side of the police: SAPS make a donation

School safety was the main focus when members of the Krugersdorp Police visited Matla Combined School. But they also donated tracksuits to over 100 children.

The Krugersdorp Police recently took time out of their busy crime-fighting schedule to visit the youngsters of Matla Combined School to address them about school safety. Police then also decided to give back by donating tracksuits to over 100 vulnerable and less fortunate learners.

According to spokesperson Captain Raymond Sebonyane, the learners were addressed and taught about bullying, theft, and assault in the school environment and how they can play their part in helping the police to keep themselves safe.

The school principal Ronald Matloga thanked the police who visited his school and appreciated their efforts.

The police were also joined by other law enforcement officers and stakeholders such as the Department of Education’s Gauteng West District members, Social Crime Prevention coordinator Warrant Officer Fritz Terblanche, and the Krugersdorp SAPS Victim Friendly Room members Kegomoditswe Molelekeng and Selina Patane.
