Not just in times of need – EMS hosts major visibility campaign
Many brave men and women from Mogale City ensured that residents were safe and sound through their Arrive Alive Campaign in Pinehaven.
The brave men and women who go over and above the call of duty to rescue others ensured that safety was in order when they held an Arrive Alive Campaign at a service station in Pinehaven recently.
The campaign was not only to increase visibility but show the community that all emergency services are together as one team.
According to Friends of Emergency Services founder Dale Mac Rae, the Arrive Alive Campaign has many goals which include reducing the number of road traffic accidents in general, improving road-user compliance with traffic laws, and fostering improved working relationships between traffic authorities in the various spheres of government.
“The campaign is held across the country, normally over holiday periods, as a Road Safety Awareness Drive. Several entities came together for visibility stand-offs to hand out flyers and as a show of force to not only make members of the public aware that services are visible but to also let them know that first responders are available in the most critical times,” Dale said.
During the evening on October 27, Emergency Management Services men and women would be proudly seen in their uniform as they also would relish delicious food while reaching out to the community and letting them know that they are with them in times of need.
The emergency services present on the night included the Mogale City Fire Department, Mogale City Traffic Department, Mogale City Response Services, and Friends of Emergency Services, among others.
Dale went on to praise the brave men and women for their presence and described just how proud they were of the reception they received.
“Your efforts and sacrifices may sometimes go unnoticed but are truly appreciated. Thank you for your bravery, resilience, and relentless pursuit of excellence. We are deeply grateful for everything you do, not just during critical situations but every single day, you are the true heroes of our society, and your courage serves as a beacon of hope for us all,” the organisation said in a statement.
