Autism learners serve meals to raise funds

Learners from the Curamus School for Autism shadowed at a local restaurant to raise funds for their school.

Fundraisers play a vital role in supporting Curamus School for Autism, and their most recent fundraising event took place at Silver Arrow Spur.

The organiser of the fundraiser, Ansa Kotze, explained that this was their second fundraiser of the year, where learners shadowed the waiters, and the restaurant donated a percentage of its sales for the evening to the school.

“It was a night to remember. Learners were welcomed by one of the managers, and after a hearty meal, they were allocated to their waiters for the night,” she explained.

Our learners worked hard under the guidance of these wonderful people, and the school was able to raise much-needed funds.

“This was a night filled with so much fun and great blessings. We received a few donations as well,” she added.

“Once again, you have outdone yourself, and words cannot express our appreciation. Thank you for helping our learners rise to great heights! On behalf of Curamus School and our beautiful learners, we would like to say thank you for the ongoing support. Hope to see you all in term three,” she concluded.
