Mogale City monitors recovering water system
Although supply has improved, the municipality says the system has not yet fully recovered and urges residents to use water sparingly
With water supply challenges affecting several communities, the Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM) says there has been some improvement.
According to MCLM’s assistant manager for media and public relations, Refilwe Mahlangu, increased pumping from Rand Water has gradually stabilised the municipal water system.

She said high-lying areas in Kagiso now have water, although residents may still experience low pressure.
“Residents are urged to continue using water sparingly to support the full recovery of the system. Water Services will continue to closely monitor the situation and deploy water tankers where necessary, in coordination with relevant councillors. We thank you for your understanding, patience and continued cooperation,” she said.
