Honeyfield brings joy to elderly mothers

Volunteers served a three-course meal and hosted a heartfelt social gathering to celebrate and uplift elderly women at Memorial Flats.

Honeyfield Charity continues to embark on its community outreach initiatives by shining a light on people in the community who are often overlooked and easily forgotten.

The organisation recently took its mission to Memorial Flats, spoiling the elderly with treats and entertainment. Although Mother’s Day has passed, the organisation still wishes to highlight how mothers matter to everyone.

The initiative was led by the organisation’s founder, Ann Bezuidenhout, along with volunteers.

According to Ann, in the spirit of giving, the elderly women were served a delicious three-course meal during a social event that encouraged companionship and appreciation for one another.

“We always welcome donations and contributions from the public, such as non-perishable goods, snacks, teatime treats and other essential items. These contributions go directly to those in need, and we appreciate the community for assisting our efforts, as our initiatives would not happen without them,” she concluded.
