Curro Krugersdorp’s Hoot for Hope sparks generous response

A wave of generosity filled Curro Krugersdorp Primary School as residents responded in numbers to support the Hoot for Hope initiative, turning donations into meaningful community impact.

Curro Krugersdorp Primary School proudly hosted its heartfelt Hoot for Hope initiative, inviting the wider Krugersdorp community to come together in support of a meaningful cause. The response was inspiring.

From early in the day, vehicles streamed in steadily, with hooters sounding in cheerful support as they arrived to drop off pre-loved clothing items. The atmosphere was filled with energy, generosity, and a strong sense of unity, as community members turned out in large numbers to make a difference.

According to the school’s marketer, Dibuseng Maboya, learners were on standby throughout the event, enthusiastically receiving each donation with gratitude and care. Their involvement ensured the smooth running of the initiative and reflected the school’s commitment to instilling values of compassion and service in its learners.

She said the success of the day was a testament to what can be achieved when a community unites behind a shared purpose.

“Each donated item will go a long way in supporting those in need, turning simple acts of kindness into meaningful impact,” Dibuseng added.

Executive Head, Annemarie Lombard, expressed her pride in the initiative, saying, “This was so beautiful to witness the community come together to support this cause. We can’t wait to host it again next year.”

“A heartfelt thank you is extended to every individual who contributed, as well as to the dedicated Curro Krugersdorp staff who brought the initiative to life. With such overwhelming support, Curro Krugersdorp looks forward to hearing the sound of hooting cars once again when Hoot for Hope returns next year, continuing to drive kindness, one donation at a time,” Dibuseng concluded.
