Curro pupils preparing for tournament
23 Curro pupils will represent Krugersdorp in the forthcoming National Tournament.
The upcoming Curro National Tournament offers another opportunity to recognise sporting ability and achievements in both the community and the province.
A phenomenal 23 pupils from Curro Krugersdorp form part of a team which will be competing in the tournament, which runs from 24 to 27 June.
The tournament will see rugby, netball and hockey matches being played across Curro Schools in every region.
A regional team, the ‘Cubs’, which consists of a selected few players from each school, has been selected and will participate for their different districts in the various sporting codes at the tournament.
The primary schools will compete at Curro Langebaan in the Western Cape, while the high schools clash at Curro Grantleigh in Kwa-Zulu Natal.
“Curro most certainly does not back down when challenged on the sporting front, and every opportunity is met with great enthusiasm and heart. We strive to help all our learners reach their full potential, and can proudly say that this most certainly happens at Curro Krugersdorp,” said Hesta du Plessis, a member of the school’s staff.
