Curro pupils ride their way to success

These young riders have made great strides in the Western and English rounds of the Sanesa competition.

They say if you climb into the saddle, be ready for the ride – and these three Curro Krugersdorp pupils were born ready for the ride.

Liane Brits (Western and English riding), Kayla Schutte-Hanekom (Western riding) and Anke de Beer (English riding) recently qualified for the South African National Equestrian School Association’s (Sanesa) competition.

The three pupils successfully competed in different rounds of the competition, which led to their inclusion in the Gauteng team.

This provincial team will kick off its next competition during the October school holidays, giving the young riders the opportunity to showcase their skills at the South African Championships.
