Roodepoort netball players shine at tournament

Players rated among the Top 30 in Gauteng

“The winners are the girls who get involved in any sport at school and on club level, regardless of whether they make it into the provincial team or not.

“You should never give up on yourself,” said Oluchi Agim, a Maragon Ruimsig learner who was a member of the U/16 Gauteng Netball team.

Together with Tiana Nappies (Rand Park High School), Janike Janse van Rensburg (Hoërskool Noordheuwel) and Anja van Heerden (Hoërskool Noordheuwel), they kept the West Rand’s name high as they played their hearts out at the Interprovincial Tournament at Sun City.

The four girls are rated among the Top 30 netball players in Gauteng, and are determined to inspire other girls not to give up on themselves.
