St Ursula’s nails its first soccer tournament

The day didn't only serve to encourage the youth to engage in inter-school events, but also to develop their soccer talent.

Saint Ursula’s Catholic School hosted its first ever soccer tournament on Friday, 17 August.

Various schools were invited to participate, including Randfontein High School, Hoërskool Roodepoort and PLG Mellow Oaks Academy.

The day didn’t only serve to encourage the youth to engage in inter-school events, but also to develop their soccer talent by investing in some much-needed game time.

St Ursula’s School has even started a soccer academy and although it is still in its infancy, the school aims to expand the programme to more areas that don’t have access to soccer in their schools.

The school would like to thank everyone who participated in the tournament, as well as everyone who contributed to the success of the event.
