Silverfields boys part of Proteas team

Five boys from Silverfields Primary School were recently chosen to be part of the Roodepoort Proteas soccer team.

The U/13 Silverfields soccer team all recently competed against about 200 boys from Krugersdorp and Roodepoort during the trials, but these five were chosen to be part of the Proteas.

They will be competing in a provincial tournament in Pretoria in September.

The boys in the Silverfields team have been playing together since Grade 1, and have been the West Rand league winners in the U/10, U/11 and U/12 categories over the years.
