The sports talent in Krugersdorp continues as Courtney Sole, who is just a Grade 10 learner from Hoërskool Monument flew the Mogale City flag high during the SPAR Women’s Challenge Jozi.

Courtney finished third in the junior category of the SPAR Women’s 10km Challenge with a time-lapse of 43 minutes and six seconds, it’s an achievement that cannot be understated because she participated alongside 9 000 other runners in the race who all had the same ambitions.

”I wanted to participate in the SPAR Women’s Race as I’ve never done a 10km race and was looking forward to participating in such a big and exciting event as I’ve been training a lot of distance due to the cross country season. It’s an incredible achievement and feeling to have. I’m exceptionally excited for future races to come and just so thankful to have been allowed to run against some of the best runners at such a massive event and to come third and to show my potential within running as a junior girl.”
