Curro rugby dominates Golden Lions primary school league

Curro Krugersdorp Primary School rugby players achieved major success in the school league.

Curro Krugersdorp Primary School has made an impressive mark in the Golden Lions primary school league by securing victories in three different categories of the first division.

This outstanding achievement was celebrated during the finals held at Hoërskool Florida on June 10.

According to Curro Krugersdorp marketer Amoryn Wright, the U9 team delivered a stellar performance sharing the winners’ trophy with Laerskool Hekpoort. She said they triumphed over formidable opponents namely Laerskool Gerrit Maritz and Randpark Primary, showcasing their dedication and skill on the field in the U11 and U13 age groups.

Rugby coach and head of sport at Curro Krugersdorp Kelvin Bekker expressed immense pride in the teams’ accomplishments.

“The coaches and teams worked extremely hard, and we are very proud of this achievement,” Bekker stated.

“Our school has come a long way, and we are grateful to have made our mark both in the community and on the field.”
