Brad scores season-best Top 5 in Indonesia
South African MotoGP star Brad Binder from Krugersdorp delivered his season-best performance, climbing from 15th to 4th place at the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia.
MotoGP star Brad Binder achieved his personal best this season by finishing in the top 5 at the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia.
The Krugersdorp native placed fourth while racing on the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit on October 5, and according to the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team, this came after he started 15th on the grid.
“He gained these places early in the race after he made some powerful moves and established a race rhythm that would also extend tyre life around the slick Indonesian asphalt,” the team stated.

Brad is way happier with his performance during the race.
“We made quite a big change in warm-up, and straightaway I felt more confident with the front-end. I felt like I was turning better, and it was more planted,” he explained.
He said he could have pushed more; however, he was glad he could have improved his starting position.
“I am looking forward to seeing if we can try and keep this momentum rolling now. I’m also happy to be back in the fight,” he concluded.
Brad currently has 118 points and is 11th in the Championship Standings. He will race again at the Liqui Moly Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix over the weekend of October 17 to 19.
