Curro first team players capped in exciting sports celebration

Curro Krugersdorp’s finest netball and rugby players proudly received their caps, marking a milestone in their sporting journey.

Curro Krugersdorp High School recently honoured its top sporting talent during its much-anticipated First Team Capping Ceremony, celebrating the commitment and achievements of the school’s first netball and rugby team players.

According to Curro Krugersdorp school marketer, Dibuseng Maboya, the event marked an important milestone for the learners as they formally received their official dresses and jerseys.

“These are proud symbols of their dedication, discipline and hard work over the years,” said Dibuseng.

She added that parents, coaches and staff gathered to witness the occasion, showing strong support for the players who have earned their place at the top of their respective sporting codes.

“The atmosphere was filled with pride, excitement and high expectations for the season ahead.”

Lamber Louw, head of sport, further emphasised the importance of the ceremony in the school’s sporting tradition.

“This is always a prestigious honour for the learners, and they look forward to it every year. It motivates them to work hard and strive to make the first team. We are proud of them all,” he said.

Curro Krugersdorp is anticipating a competitive and inspiring year, with players eager to showcase their skills and uplift the school’s spirit both on and off the field.
