Three Somali nationals arrested

Two Somali males aged 24 and 25 were arrested for possession of unlicensed firearm at Tickeyline village (Mmakgeletsi shop) on Monday afternoon.

Maake police spokesperson, Constable Rufus Magoro said according to the information available at this stage, the police received a tip-off from an informer about the firearm.

He said Constable Adios Matjokotja, Sergeant Maboku Modiba and Warrant Officer Daniel Mushwana from the tekkie squad followed up the information that led to the arrests. The two suspects were found in possession of a CZ85 Pistol with 08 rounds. The third suspect was arrested for possession of dangerous weapon.

Police are appealing to all members of the community who might have information about any type of criminal activities happening in their communities to contact Maake SAPS on 015 355 8358/57.
