MODJADJISKLOOF: One dead, two injured after car rolls off road in front of Goue Jare

“Two men were found outside the vehicle while a woman was found lying lifeless inside the car...”

ER24 spokesperson, Russel Meiring says a woman was killed and two others injured on Tuesday afternoon, August 8, when a light motor vehicle rolled off the R36 in Modjadjiskloof.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene at 16h20 and found the light motor vehicle lying on its roof on the side of the road.

“Two men were found outside the vehicle while a woman was found lying lifeless inside the car,” he said.

Specialised equipment was used by rescue services to remove the door so paramedics could gain access to the woman.

“Paramedics assessed the woman and found that she had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for her and she was declared dead,” he said.

Both men were found to have sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
