Emanuel FC is more than ready for new season

Football off-seasons are a particularly thrilling and heartwarming time of the year when players have plenty of time to recover before preparing for the upcoming season.

Emanuel FC, on the other hand, used the off-season to reflect on their past performances and determine how they could improve moving forward. Finishing the last season in position four despite their best performance in the league, was cause for concern for the team’s management. According to the general manager, Musa Maluleke, they had to release some players to make room for the new recruitment.

The introduction of the new players will consequently come as a major surprise to Emanuel FC football fans. “It didn’t make sense that we played well but still ended up in fourth spot. We had to make changes to the team and therefore are bringing in nine new players to replace those who were laid off during the restructuring of the team,” Maluleke said.

He said his side was more than prepared to face the 2023/24 football season and that they have made the most of the last few weeks of the pre-season. “We started our pre-season training early in July, and I’ve seen how the boys have gotten used to each other, so I’m confident that we’re going to start our season well.”

He urged supporters to come to the stadium to support their team. “We also offer T-shirts at R700 each, so anyone who needs them can contact us through our Facebook page.”
