Phala United thrill fans with 8-0 win

Phalaborwa United FC delivers a dazzling 8-0 victory in the Hollywoodbets League, solidifying their top spot.

LIMPOPO – Phalaborwa United FC lit up the Hollywoodbets League on Sunday, January 5, in Lulekani, with a spectacular 8-0 triumph over Chillostars FC, leaving fans and opponents in absolute awe.

On a day when everything seemed to click, Phalaborwa United’s players turned the soccer field into a stage, delivering a performance worthy of a championship highlight reel. This emphatic win not only solidified their position at the top of the league but also sent a clear message that ‘Phalaborwa United is here to dominate.’

Phalaborwa United defeated Chillostars with accuracy, skill, and relentless teamwork, demonstrating no signs of rust despite players returning from the Christmas break and squad changes.

For their fans, it was more than a victory. It was an unforgettable statement of intent.

The Hollywoodbets League is a semi-professional league formerly known as the SAB League. It is a ladder to the ABC Motsepe League.

“This victory feels so good. The players are just coming back from the Christmas break and are not yet fully fit. Yet, we managed to score so many goals. That is something we are proud of,” said Lefa Ramoshaba, Phalaborwa United FC communication manager. Despite these challenges, the team’s preparation and tactical discipline paid off. Ramoshaba added that they always aim for as many goals as possible. “We do not compromise because goals are what matter most in this league. We expected this kind of scoreline because we knew that our opponents were not stable with their squad,” he continued.

This victory has important implications for the league standings, as it took the team to the top spot on the log standings with a four-goal difference against their rivals.

The match saw standout performances from Wiseman ‘Madlaya’ Maluleke, who gave the most impressive performance throughout the game.

Midfielder Andzisa also shone, scoring the opening goal that set the tone for the team’s dominance.

Ramoshaba highlighted that although their team scored many goals, the game was a tough one as their opponent came prepared.

Meanwhile, the team played the following day in the Mazola Tournament in Mashishimale and won 2-1 against Mashishimale Black Pool.
