Did Minnie Dlamini get fired from SoccerZone?

Dlamini revealed her 2017 plans and reassured her fans she would still get to see her on the small screen.

Television personality Minnie Dlamini will no longer be the face we see every Monday on SABC 1’s sports show, SoccerZone.

While chitchat that the TV presenter and actress was given the boot has been doing the rounds, and that it was apparently not the first attempt to fire the beauty, Dlamini explained that she resigned.

”I have resigned from SABC Sport to focus on my other business ventures. I have loved my time with the SABC Sport family and will miss them dearly,” she said in a statement.

“It pains me to realise that I won’t be seeing my Thom Thom [Thomas Mlambo] and Dr Mnandi every Monday, as they have become family. I need to grow and explore various opportunities in entertainment and business,” the statement further read.

Dlamini revealed her 2017 plans and reassured her fans she would still get to see her on the small screen. “I’m super excited about 2017 and working very hard to make it a success. I will be back on screen for Tropika Island of Treasure Seychelles in March 2017 on SABC3 – be sure not to miss it,” she indicated. She has been the co-host for the TV show every Monday night for the past four years.

Dlamini is currently overseas on a work project and will be returning on November 10.

SoccerZone plays every Monday live at 9pm on SABC 1.
