Madea is back to put the fun in funeral

Catch Madea and her silly antics for the very last time on the big screen from the 1st of March.

The last Madea movie sees a joyous family reunion collapse into a hilarious nightmare, as Madea and the crew travel to backwards Georgia. The family find themselves unexpectedly planning a funeral that might unveil unsavoury family secrets.

The scenery sees Tyler Perry play an unprecedented four characters in this hilarious family comedy, where Tyler himself speaks of attending many funerals in his time and experiencing a lot of funny moments, “there is nothing funnier than some of the things I’ve seen go on at black funerals,” Perry adds.

The production team saw this movie as the perfect catalyst to poke fun at the rituals commonly associated with black family funerals, and who better than Madea to perpetuate this stereotype.

Tyler Perry brings together the biggest, most multi-generational cast of familiar faces and exciting newcomers. Having set up the perfect script and cast, the inspirational Perry will use this movie to close the Madea chapter after a staggering fourteen years. He has identified this film as the best way to close the Madea chapter, even though production was completed in 2017.

Catch Madea and her silly antics for the very last time on the big screen from the 1st March.
