According to Capt. Khanyisile Zwane, Middelburg police spokesperson, the boy was visiting his girlfriend when the alleged incident occurred.

Neighbours discovered the boy asleep, with a condom still pulled over his penis. The lifeless body of a small framed dog was lying next to him.

The boy was arrested and will appear in court on Monday on a charge of bestiality.

The dog was removed by die SPCA and taken for a post mortem to gather evidence for the case.
