Mukesh Sun Mookh (Sam) Ranchod, who worked at Heavy Feather, was shot and killed at point blank range during a robbery at the liquor outlet where his wife, Darshala, worked.

He was the son-in-law of Bob Dajie, well-known Middelburg businessman and owner of the liquor store.
