Another death on the railway line

He has been, for the past couple of years, a resident of Extension 2, Mhluzi, and the exact circumstances which led to his death remain unclear.

According to reports, the train conductor noticed a plastic bag on the tracks and as the train approached closer, a man appeared and stood on the tracks. It was too late to apply brakes and the deceased was crushed under the train.

Several body parts were scattered all over the scene and pathology services returned to the scene the next day, and again on Tuesday, to retrieve his remains.

The deceased was identified as David Wakapira.
