One killed on N4
One person was killed and another seriously injured when two vehicles collided on the N4 on Wednesday afternoon.
The accident, which took place close to the Woestalleen offramp, was allegedly caused by one of the motorists who attempted to make a u-turn across the freeway.
The Toyota Hilux was hit on the driver door by a Ford Focus.
The driver of the Toyota, died minutes after the accident whilst the driver of the Ford was taken to hospital.
Eyewitnesses to the accident said that it seemed that the Toyota wanted to make a u-turn.
The scene was secured by Trac Accident Response with flagmen and cones to warn other motorists to approach with caution. Police and the Fire Deparment were also on the scene.
The identities of the people involved were not made public at the time of going to press.
