Community in shock over approved prospecting application
Prospecting rights have been obtained for the Loskop Valley, a tourism mecca, where Forever owns seven resorts.
The dodgy company headed a single director.
The application for prospecting rights has been approved on the farm of Ms Kobie Snyders who lives right next to Kranspoort Town.
The prospecting map also includes Forever Resorts’ Waterfall Lodge though representatives of Jaments (Pty) Ltd, the applicant, has told Forever Loskop Dam Manager Ms Monica van der Linde, that Waterfall Lodge would be left alone.

Both Ms Snyders and Ms Van der Linde only became aware of the approved application on August 13 when Jaments’ representatives visited Loskop Dam to inform Ms Van der Linde about future plans for coal prospecting.

Ms Snyders says she’s never been contacted about prospecting on her farm and that the ground samples taken from the property, had been obtained illegally. The prospecting application is only valid for five years.
There is however no information available anywhere on either Jaments or its only Director, Mr Bongani Selemani.
The Kranspoort community is united in opposing the application, they believe have been obtained fraudulently from the Department of Mineral Resource’s Mpumalanga offices, which has been placed under administration.
