Update: Highveld Emporium set alight
Highveld Emporium in Machadodorp is still in flames as residents struggle to contain the fire after protesters set the building alight.
Protests broke out after a a racial incident between a white and black man.
The white man was admitted to hospital following a fight.

When security officers went to arrest his assailants on Monday the community went on a rampage which spilled into town on Tuesday.
The burning building is situated in Potgieter Street. It belongs to an Indian business owner.
Police and fire fighters have been dispatched to the scene while protests are continuing.
