#TrafficAlert: R555 closed, seven die in horrific crash
The R555 (Stoffberg road) has been closed due to a fatal crash this evening.
Seven people have perished after a head on collision between a truck and a bakkie.
The seven include the driver and six passengers of the single cab bakkie, which was pulling a trailer.
This is the second accident on the Stoffberg road this evening. Another accident occurred between 17:00 and 18:00.
It was later observed that a section of tar has been stripped from the road and poses a danger to vehicles travelling at high speed.
Motorists are cautioned not to use the R555 until further notice.
