#TrafficAlert: One dies in early morning collision, R555 closed
One person has died and two were transported to hospital early this morning following a head on collision on the R555 (Old Witbank road).
The accident took place at around 05:25 between a Toyota Hilux and an Isuzu.
A passenger in the Isuzu was killed in the collision and the drivers of both vehicles were rushed to Life Midmed Hospital for medical treatment.
The road remains closed as emergency response personnel are trying to recover the deceased from the wreckage.
Motorists are urged to make use of alternative routes until the road is open.
