VIDEO: Road accidents claim thirteen lives in four days
Thirteen people lost their lives in several road accidents in Middelburg in the last four days.
On Friday at about 16:00 a mini-bus collided with a truck on the N11 between Middelburg and Hendrina.
Nine of the people in the taxi burnt to death.
The taxi was reportedly heading to Als Mine when the incident happened.
The drivers of the taxi and truck were rushed to the hospital.
The deceased have not been identified yet.

On Saturday, emergency services also attended an accident on the R555 (Stoffberg Road), where a Hyundai and a Volkswagen collided.
At least three people were killed in the head-on collision that occurred at about 08:00.
The Hyundai was travelling to Stoffberg while the Volkswagen was heading to Middelburg.
The Hyundai was carrying two men and a woman, who died on impact.
The driver of the Volkswagen and a passenger were rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.
The deceased have also not been identified.

On Monday morning at about 05:25 an accident involving a Toyota Hilux and an Isuzu occurred on the R555(old Witbank Road)
A passenger in the Isuzu was killed in the collision and the drivers of both vehicles were rushed the hospital for medical treatment.
