N4 claims four lives in early morning accidents

Two seperate accidents on the N4 has claimed the lives of four commuters in the early hours of this morning.

•A multi-vehicle collision occured early this morning between the Middelburg Toll Plaza and the weighbridge. TRAC Media spokesperson, Ms Solange Nicholson confirmed that three people were killed and one critically injured in the collision.

An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is currently underway.

•In a seperate incident, yet another accident occurred this morning on the N4 between the Hendrina and Woestalleen offramps. It has been confirmed that the accident involved a single vehicle wherein one person was killed. A Corsa Lite lost control and collided with the barricades on the side of the highway.

The victims have yet to be identified.
