#TrafficAlert – Accident on N4, westbound lanes closed
Emergency response personnel had to close two lanes of the N4 as they are currently trying to recover vehicles involved in an accident.
The accident took place when a bakkie hauling a trailer with another vehicle on it, lost control and overturned.
The vehicle was travelling in eMalahleni’s direction and occurred a few kilometres before the Middelburg Toll Plaza.
One of the vehicle’s occupants was taken to hospital by ambulance after sustaining injuries, but fortunately there were no fatalities.
Traffic has ground to a halt since motorists are forced to drive on the grass island between lanes. Motorists are urged to proceed with caution.
