Robbers shoot while paramedics help on scene
While paramedics were helping on a scene this morning, where passengers in a taxi were shot on the N4, the robbers started shooting at a nearby truck.
The drama already started in the early hours of Monday between 02:00-03:00, when stones were thrown at vehicles on the N4 from the bridge at the Van Dyksdrift off-ramp.
According to information www.mobserver.co.za received, havoc erupted this morning when a taxi drove over rocks that were packed on the N4 near the Van Dyksdrift off-ramp.

Due to damage underneath the vehicle, the taxi driver had to stop. At that moment, robbers, who most probably packed the rocks on the road, started shooting at the passengers in the taxi and robbed them of their belongings.
One person had a wound on his foot and another a flesh wound on his knee.

An ambulance was sent to the scene.
Paramedics called the police for assistance, but the truck driver kept on driving and there were no more injuries reported. The Corsa bakkie drove off in the dark.
• The two patients that had gunshot wounds were taken to the Middelburg Hospital.
