Sudden death of 17-year-old leaves mother in shock
The bereaved mother of a 17-year-old boy who died in a truck is still in shock.
The woman and her two children were travelling from Burgersfort to Rustenburg when her sick 17-year-old son passed away in Middelburg.
When the woman noticed that her son was not breathing the truck driver stopped the vehicle on Meyer- and Cowen Ntuli Street.
The truck driver said he was hired by the deceased’s grandmother to transport clothing from Rustenburg to Burgersfort.
As he was about to drive back to Rustenburg the mother of the deceased asked for a lift.
The woman refused to leave her dead son alone in the truck.
Whilst trying to explain to the officials about what had happened the emotional woman said she has lost three children to date.
The police and paramedics helped her call family members and the mortuary to transport the deceased’s body.
